Bluetooth LE
Use the provided BLE Bridge for Windows to connect & configure without using Wi-Fi
DroneBridge provides a flexible communication layer with native support for MAVLink and MSP/LTM.
The Transparent Mode allows for any payload or protocol.
By utilizing protocol-specific parsing modes, the system effectively minimizes packet loss and maintains data integrity in challenging RF environments. Engineered for high reliability and ultra-low latency.
DroneBridge for ESP32 connects your drone the way you want. Via Wi-Fi 5/6 for a fast, long-range telemetry link.
Choose UDP or TCP to connect your GCS.
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) when you just need to make a quick config change without any cables. Or you want to wirelessly connect a ground equipment like a tracker to your GCS.
BLE is especially handy on the ground: Stay connected to your local Wi-Fi and the internet while you dial in your settings. No matter your setup, all connections are fully encrypted out of the box.
Supported by QGroundControl, Mission Planner, mwptools, impload etc.
Wi-Fi 6 and ESP-NOW broadcast support enable efficient one-to-many communication, making DroneBridge well suited for controlling multiple drones and testing swarm applications. Learn more in the Docs!
Power + UART Interface to Flight Controller
Single-cable integration for stable power delivery and reliable serial communication with your FC with optional flow-control.
Setting up DroneBridge requires no apps or specialist tools. Simply connect to its Wi-Fi network, open a browser, and you're greeted with a clean configuration page — adjust your settings, hit Save & Reboot, and you're done.
Your settings are stored on the device and ready every time you power up. If you ever need to make a change or recover from a misconfiguration, the web interface is always just a Wi-Fi connection away.
Optimized support for Skybrush
The Beta release is out now! Beware that without a license the ESP32 will halt all telemetry after 10 minutes!
DroneBridge Drone Light Show Edition is the communication backbone of your drone swarm — keeping every aircraft reliably connected to your ground control software throughout the entire show.
Built with Wi-Fi 6 support, DLSE lets you put more drones on the same wireless infrastructure without congesting the spectrum. Whether you're running dozens or hundreds of aircraft, Wi-Fi 6's improved efficiency means your show can grow while every drone stays reliably connected throughout the performance.
You can find officially supported boards in the shop.
Only these boards will receive support from the main developer.
Note: These boards are not specifically designed for the DLSE.
These modules provide a complete, small-form-factor solution at a minimal cost. Because they are pre-configured to support all modes out of the box, they significantly reduce setup time for any drone project.

DroneBridge for ESP32 supports traditional WiFi and Bluetooth LE. Run the access point directly on the drones ESP32 or connect to a central access point on the ground.
DroneBridge for ESP32 supports ESP-NOW as a protocol. While similar to WiFi it offers far more range at the cost of some data rate (still 250kbit brutto rate). In contrast to a WiFi setup you will need two ESP32`s running DroneBridge for ESP32. On one the ground and one on every drone.
Drone, Sea or Ground Vehicle Telemetry Link
DroneBridge for ESP32 seamlessly integrates into any drone system
thanks to its compliance with the Wi-Fi standard. Whether you need your drones to connect to an
existing Wi-Fi access point on the ground or prefer each drone to host its own dedicated access
point, the flexibility is built-in. This makes it incredibly easy to set up reliable, encrypted
bidirectional communication for telemetry, commands, and status updates.
Establish robust Wi-Fi, ESP-NOW, or Bluetooth Low Energy connections between your Ground Control Station (GCS) and one or multiple drones. Each mode is optimized for different use cases—Wi-Fi for high data rates and medium range, ESP-NOW for long-range low-bandwidth links, and Bluetooth LE for short-range configuration and low-power applications.
GCS Peripheral Data Link
Wirelessly connect ground station peripherals such as GPS
trackers, external sensors, or remote controllers to your GCS without the hassle of cables.
DroneBridge for ESP32 enables you to forward telemetry data from your RC transmitter directly to
your GCS running on a phone, tablet, or laptop, providing a clean and flexible ground station
setup.
Use Wi-Fi for high-speed data transfer or Bluetooth Low Energy for low-power, short-range connections between your GCS and ground station equipment. This versatility allows you to maintain a streamlined workspace while staying connected to all critical peripherals, ensuring you have full situational awareness and control during flight operations.
